Cash Social Assistance Consolidation Meeting in Kulon Progo Regency

KULON PROGO (August 18, 2020) - The Secretariat of the Directorate General of Poverty Handling held a Cash Social Assistance Consolidation Meeting.

In the meeting the Director General of PFM, Asep Sasa Purnama and Director of PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan as resource persons the Secretary General of PFM, Nurul Farijati as moderator.

The activity was attended by representatives of the central independent bank, representatives of central BNI, representatives of the Kulon Progo district social service, TKSK throughout Kulon Progo district, and the Kulon Progo district coordinator.

The Director General of PFM also said that this August, there was an appeal for a Joint Decree Letter (Minister of Social Affairs, Minister of Home Affairs, and Minister of Finance) to encourage the updating of social welfare integrated data (DTKS) by Regency/City Governments. According to the Director General of PFM, there are about half of the 514 regencies/cities that have not verified and validated the data. "In addition, the current situation is that we are required to handle COVID-19, so the data we need must be fast and accurate," explained the Director General of PFM.

The second phase of BST will begin to be disbursed this month with an assistance value of Rp. 300,000 per KPM/month whose period starts from July to December 2020. According to the Director General of PFM, according to the message of the Minister of Social Affairs, the BST index was adjusted from the previous Rp.600,000 to Rp.300,000 because there are other Ministry/Institution programs and job opportunities that have started to open.

In addition to the ongoing BST program, the Directorate General of PFM also received a new mandate for the distribution of BST for the KPM for the Basic Food Program without the Family Hope Program. The index of assistance given to KPM is Rp.500,000 for one disbursement which will be disbursed within the period August 2020 to September 2020.
