UNGARAN (3 September 2021) - SA (24 years old) did not expect that his desire to work again was supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the assistance of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) given to him.

 

SA is a victim of drug abuse under the guidance of Social Rehabilitation Center “Satria” Baturraden and the At-Tauhid Recipient Institution for Reporting (IPWL) Semarang. The ATENSI assistance in the form of a high-pressure washer worth Rp. 1,749.000, 00 was handed over directly by the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini, together with Member of Commission VIII DPR RI, Buchori at the Semarang Regent's Official House.

 

Likewise, SY (31) who also received ATENSI assistance in the form of angkringan tents, frying pans, gas stoves, and LPG cylinders worth Rp. 1,415.000,00 to support his business selling toast which has been running for approximately two years.

 

SY is a victim of drug abuse under the guidance of Satria Center Baturraden and Yayasan Cinta Kasih Bangsa Ungaran has completed rehabilitation. She is a mother of two children whose husband also experienced similar problems. She has completed the rehabilitation program and received entrepreneurship training according to the results of the social worker assessment until she finally opened a business.

 

SA said he was happy to get ATENSI assistance and did not think that he would get it.

 

"I really intend to open a motorcycle washing business after completing rehabilitation. Previously I worked to help my uncle and now I get assistance like this. Thank you very much to the Ministry of Social Affairs," said SA.

 

The same statement was also conveyed by SY. She felt very grateful to receive this assistance.

 

"Alhamdulillah. Thank you. Actually, much of my selling equipment was damaged. Many of my selling tents also had holes in them. I am very happy. Thank you again," said SY who could not hide her emotion.

 

The head of Satria Center Baturraden, Darmanto said that this entrepreneurship assistance aims to encourage the independence of victims of drug abuse to meet their daily needs and their families.

 

"ATENSI entrepreneurship assistance is aimed at the people to live independently. They have a life and also a family to live with," said Darmanto.

Vocational training and entrepreneurship assistance are some of the components of the ATENSI program where the programs are family, community, and residential-based. In addition, independence is one of the things that supports the recovery process from drug dependence.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Social Affairs through Satria Center Baturraden provided ATENSI assistance to 13 Beneficiaries (PM) with a total aid of Rp 24,700,000 and basic needs assistance (food, clothing, and vitamins) for 33 people worth Rp 62,700,000. The total assistance disbursed amounted to Rp. 87,400,000.
