Response to Case of PPKS with Permanent Disabilities Due to Work Accident
BANTUL (10 August 2021) - The Ministry of
Social Affairs is again present through the Surakarta "Prof. Dr.
Soeharso" Center to respond to the problem of Social Welfare Services Recipient
(PPKS) in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Following up on the Minister's direction
regarding the PPKS issue on behalf of Mr. Andik Dwi Purwanto who had an
electrical construction work accident that resulted in permanent disability. In
this regard, the Ministry of Social Affairs through "Prof. Dr.
Soeharso" Center sent a team to carry out further assessments related to
the problem. In coordination with the local village apparatus, a team
consisting of Social Workers and psychologists visited the PPKS residence which
is located at Prangwedanan Hamlet, Potorono Village, Banguntapan District,
Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region and immediately conducted a follow-up
assessment to explore the problem.
The results of coordination with village
officials obtained initial assessment data on PPKS problems, including because
of the difficulty of paying for treatment. PPKS only uses ointment to treat
pain in the legs and arms, while the price of ointment is Rp 125,000 and is used
for only one week. In addition, PPKS is also worried about the future of
education for its two children, namely Muhammad Azka Fikri, aged 12, and Atiqa
Fairuz Muzdhalifah, aged 9. Furthermore, the team from BBRSPDF PROF DR Soeharso
conducted a follow-up assessment in coordination with the local RT
From the results of the team's assessment in
the field, it is known that PPKS is still undergoing treatment by using BPJS
for employment and receive incentives from the company of Rp 1,500,000 per
month. Treatment with ointment is still needed by PPKS at this time to reduce
itching, and the cost of purchasing the ointment can be submitted to the
company to be replaced. Government assistance that has been obtained includes
PKH, BPNT, KIS (except his wife), and KIP. Both children have also received PIP
assistance. The tools they already have are a prosthesis from BPJS for employment
and a wheelchair from the PT where PPKS works.
PPKS hope at this time is the certainty of
education for their two children up to college level, considering that their
parents no longer have definite jobs. And he begged his wife to get KIS. For
PKH and BNPT have received but several times there are problems with
disbursement.
