KAMPAR (25 August 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through the Pekanbaru "Rumbai" Center responded to the case
following up on information submitted by Achmad, Member of Commission VIII of
the House of Representatives. The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini
directed to make a quick response to the problems of the family of Fendriyansah
(51).
Fendriyansah experienced
shortness of breath and needed oxygen cylinder assistance. He cannot go to the
hospital because he has no money, so far he has never received any assistance
from the government. Besides, Fendriyansah has 9 children,
The "Rumbai"
Center in Pekanbaru together with the Family Hope Program (PKH) Facilitator,
Tenayan Raya Sub-district, Pekanbaru City and the (Social Work Service Unit) Sakti
Peksos Supervisor in Riau Province visited Fendriyansyah's residence, which
apparently has changed its address to Pandau Housing, Siak Hulu District,
Kampar Regency.
Based on the results of
the rapid assessment, it was known that Fendriyansah did experience shortness
of breath, but from the results of the latest examination at Zainab Hospital
Pekanbaru, Fendriyansah, who is familiarly called Mr. Usman, was declared
negative for a lung infection and the doctor advised not to go to another doctor
first, consider the condition of PPKM level IV in Pekanbaru.
“I have had economic
difficulties since the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously I worked as an event
organizer in Pekanbaru. I have experienced economic difficulties since I didn't
work, I couldn't pay the rent, but I was still given to live here with my 9
children. So I really need help. Because so far I have never received help,”
said Fendriyansah.
Head of the Pekanbaru
"Rumbai" Center, Ahmad Subarkah, said that a case response team was
brought in to identify the initial needs of the Fendriyansyah family. In
addition to experiencing shortness of breath and economic difficulties,
Fendriyansah is not registered as a PKH recipient and has 6 children who need
Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) services.
"Our four children
are not going to school due to lack of funds and we need to help with this
through the ATENSI program by providing access to the PKH Program and the Smart
Indonesia Card (KIP)," added Ahmad Subarkah.
