JAKARTA (3 September 2021) - Secretary of the
Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Idit Supriadi Priatna
representing the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat in the
Food Sharing activity for people affected by Covid-19.
In this activity, the Ministry of Social Affairs
together with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Polda Metro Jaya and
Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Sahabat Mitra Sejati distributed thousands of basic food
packages for MSMEs and communities affected by Covid-19.
Facing the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia
which has had a tremendous impact on the socio-economic conditions of the
community. Therefore, there is a need for initiative efforts to build synergy
with both the government and other parties in assisting to
communities affected by COVID-19 as a real act of solidarity so that Indonesia
can recover and prosper.
Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten
Masduki said "Currently, solidarity actions to help others in the midst of
a pandemic is very meaningful. Many people are experiencing economic
difficulties, losing their jobs, and decreasing their income", said
Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki when distributing symbolically
the basic food packages.
For MenKopUKM, it proves that cooperatives
also have a social (and educational) function, apart from being an economic and
business entity. "The philosophy of cooperatives as stated by Bung Hatta
is a joint business activity for the advancement of the general public",
said Teten.
On this occasion, Idit Supriadi Priatna said
that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to face various serious
problems, ranging from health problems, social problems, and also economic
problems, especially the Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS) group who
have obstacles, difficulties, or problems. the disturbance experienced which
causes them to be unable to carry out their social functions properly during
the COVID-19 pandemic.
"This is of course the obligation of all
of us to be able to help and assist citizens, especially for the poor and
vulnerable groups who are less fortunate," said Idit.
