"Satria" Center Baturraden Distributes ATENSI in Kebumen

KEBUMEN

"Satria" Baturraden again distributed assistance for Social
Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) for Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS)
in the form of assistance for meeting basic needs and accessibility of school
equipment for children who need the restoration of social functions assisted by
the Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) partner of "Satria" Center,
savings assistance for orphans/fatherless/motherless (YAPI) whose parents died
from COVID-19, and entrepreneurship assistance in the form of three-wheeled
motorbikes for people with disabilities in Kebumen Regency, Central Java
Province.
ATENSI support
was distributed to 300 children who needed the restoration of social functions
in 15 LKSA in Kebumen Regency in the form of assistance for meeting basic needs
and school supplies in the amount of Rp150,000,000,00. Furthermore, assistance
for 170 orphans/fatherless/motherless (YAPI) whose parents died due to COVID-19
amounted to Rp80,400,000 as well as entrepreneurship assistance for 2 people
with physical disabilities in the form of three-wheeled motorbikes worth
Rp64,000,000.
"The
total ATENSI support distributed by Satria Center for PPKS in Kebumen Regency
is Rp. 294.4 million," said Head of Satria Center Baturraden, Darmanto.
The
assistance was symbolically handed over by members of Commission VIII of the
DPR RI who carried out a Specific Working Visit in Kebumen Regency, Central
Java Province in the context of monitoring and distributing PKH and BPNT social
assistance. A total of 8 members of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives
attended this activity including Abdul Wachid, I Komang Koheri, Paryono, Umar
Bashor, Mohammad Saleh, M. Husni, Delmeria, and Wastam.
The group
was well received by the Regent of Kebumen, Arif Sugiyanto, and Deputy Regent
Ristawati Purwaningsih and their staff at the Kebumen Regional Secretariat Hall
Building. Arif Sugiyanto appreciated and welcomed the Team of Commission VIII of
the House and the Ministry of Social Affairs in Kebumen Regency.
The Kebumen
Regent hopes that this activity can be an effective means of communication
between the Kebumen Regency Government and the central government and can be a
valuable input for improving the performance of the Kebumen Regency Government.
The
Chairperson of the Committee VIII of the House’s Working Committee, Abdul
Wachid, said that this specific work visit was aimed at hearing aspirations and
overseeing government programs, especially from the Ministry of Social Affairs
and the Ministry of Religion.
“Besides the budget function, we also have a
supervisory function. We want to see how the government assistance programs
from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Religion Affairs which are
included in our scope of work can be right on target,” said Abdul Wachid.
Commission VIII of the House also wants to know what social problems exist in
Kebumen regency.
Abdul
Wachid said that Commission VIII of the House had proposed to the government to
increase social assistance for the community. Until now, the assistance is
still being disbursed by the government.
ATENSI
and PKH assistance in Kebumen Regency in the form of ATENSI for orphans for 170
children in the amount of Rp. 80,400,000, - accessibility assistance for 22
people in the amount of Rp. 34,320,000, - assistance for basic needs for 466
people in the amount of Rp. 350,251,706, - and entrepreneurship assistance for
15 people in the amount of Rp95,522,800 The total amount of assistance from the
Ministry of Social Affairs distributed was Rp560,494,506 which came from the Social
Rehabilitation Center "Kartini" Temanggung, 'Satria" Center
Baturraden, "Antasena" Center Magelang and the Directorate of Family
Social Security.
Teguh Kuatno (40 years) with a physical disability from the Pejagoan sub-district
of Kebumen received entrepreneurship assistance in the form of a three-wheeled
motorbike from "Satria" Center Baturraden. In 2014 Teguh got a
traffic accident so that his left leg had to be amputated and since then he has
been using a prosthetic.
“I
run the chicken slaughtering business from my parents. I am very happy to get
help with a three-wheeled motorbike from the Ministry of Social Affairs. I will
use this motorbike to deliver the chicken from home to the market. In the
future, I hope that my business can be more developed and more advanced,” said
Teguh.
“For
persons with disabilities in Kebumen, never give up to work and be independent.
Never feel that these physical limitations make you weak. Show that persons
with disabilities are the same as non-disabled persons. Show that people with
disabilities can work and be independent,” Teguh said to encourage other people
with disabilities.
Seri
Handayani (17 years) from LKSA PAY Putri Aisyiyah Hj. Alfiatun Ihsan Kebumen
was pleased to receive assistance for daily needs and school supplies from the
Ministry of Social Affairs through Satria Center Baturraden. She hopes that
others who are less fortunate can get help as well as herself.
During
the working visit of the House of Representatives Commission VIII in Kebumen
Regency, the Ministry of Social Affairs was also present, namely Head of BP3S
Hartono Laras, Inspector for Social Rehabilitation Division Margowiyono, Head
of Social Counseling Center Wiwit Widiansyah, Head of the "Kartini"
Temanggung Center Rachmat Koesnadi and Head of "Satria" Baturraden
Darmanto.
