Scavengers to Hoe Coolies of Sindang Receive Boxed Rice Assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs
The Ministry of Social Affairs opened eight public kitchens to meet the needs of the community affected by the Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) policy, one of which was opened at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery Convention (TMPNU) Convention Building, South Jakarta.
The public kitchen which operates 24 hours by producing 20 thousand rice boxes per day involves 250 Tagana and Peace Pioneers from DKI Jakarta and Banten Provinces.
The food menu has been calculated to meet the nutrients needed by the human body, which consists of rice, meat, boiled eggs, vegetables, fruit and one bottle of mineral water.
The rice box distribution targets include Health Workers, PPKM Officers who are on duty in the area of blocking roads connecting DKI Jakarta with the surrounding areas, Beneficiaries who are in Social Welfare Institutions (LKS), Funeral Officers and affected residents, such as porters Sindang, online motorcycle taxis. and scavengers.
After receiving the rice box, the hoe coolie of Sindang who has lived on the sidewalks of TMPNU Kalibata is very grateful and hopes that this rice box program can continue until the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
Meanwhile, Aipda Suharsono, who is a member of the Pasar Rebo Sector police who is on duty in the partition area on Jalan Raya Bogor in front of Panasonic Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, said that the separation was carried out for 24 hours involving approximately 150 joint personnel. He revealed that with the food supply from the Ministry of Social Affairs, it could help maintain the nutrition and immunity of the officers.
