ACEH BESAR (2 September 2021) – The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, and her staff paid a working visit to the Social Rehabilitation Center Darussa'adah in Aceh.

 

During her working visit, Social Minister Risma handed over the assistance of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI). Assistance was given to orphans, fatherless and motherless whose parents died due to Covid-19 as many as 32 children amounting to Rp. 7,100,000, Children in Need of Special Protection amounting to Rp. 36,000,000 for 34 children, 98 persons with disabilities amounting to Rp. 83,440. 000 and 14 former homeless beggars amounting to Rp. 17,870,000.

 

Furthermore, assistance from Melati Center Jakarta amounting to Rp 38,400,000 for 15 children for Coffee Shop Barista Entrepreneurship and assistance from Insyaf Center Medan for victims of drug abuse to 15 children with Rp 900,000 each.

 

After symbolically assisting the beneficiaries, Social Minister Risma gave motivation to the beneficiaries.

 

"Starting today, you must know that God loves you because you were chosen because you are strong and you can do it, you are the best and you must not be afraid or insecure, you must dare to look to the future," Social Minister Risma's message encouraged the beneficiaries.

 

Social Minister Risma also had a dialogue with Salsabila, one of the orphans whose parents died of Covid-19, Salsabila told Social Minister Risma that she aspires to become a policewoman. The Social Minister immediately encouraged you to be active in achieving your goals. "You have to be passionate, just keep on it, until your goals are achieved," said Social Minister Risma.

 

Rohani from Aceh Besar is a person with a physical disability and one of the beneficiaries of ATENSI assistance in the form of a wheelchair expressed her gratitude after receiving wheelchair assistance and necessities. "Thank you, Ma’am, for providing a wheelchair, it makes me easier to walk outside the house, so I don't need to ask others for help," she said.

 

With the ATENSI Program, it is hoped that beneficiaries will be empowered and able to be independent. This ATENSI support is a collaboration of several social rehabilitation centers belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely Darussa'adah Aceh, Melati Jakarta, and Insyaf Medan.

 

Present at the event were officials from Echelon I and Echelon II of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Governor of Aceh, as well as heads of relevant regional offices.
