SITUBONDO (August 6, 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center “Prof. Dr. Soeharso” Surakarta responded
quickly to the viral news regarding the termination of the Prosperous Family
Card Rice Aid for poor grandmothers in Situbondo, East Java. The Soeharso case
response team, consisting of Sarjimin as a Social Worker and accompanied by
Muhtar Kusumaatmaja and Tri Santoso, will clarify Grandma Suma'adan's problem
in online media which is currently viral.
The news that has gone
viral through social media http://teropongindonesianews.com tells the story of
a grandmother named Buk Suma'adan (65 years old) who was forced to collect
leftover rice to dry and cook again (cangkarok
rice) because of rice assistance through the Prosperous Family Card has been
discontinued since last January.
The Soeharso Center case
response team immediately coordinated with the Situbondo District Social
Service through Heri as the Acting Head of Social Security Division. Heri then
assigned the Situbondo District TKSK coordinator to assist the team in
responding to the problem. Together with Situbondo TKSK coordinator Lutfi
Jalil, the rapid response team coordinated with the Perante Village government
to dig deeper into the information.
From the quick response,
the team received information that it was true that a grandmother named Buk
Suma'adan was a resident of South Village of Perante Village, Asembagus
District, Situbondo Regency, and indeed since February she has no longer
received BSP assistance, while other residents, including her child, live next
door still receiving BSP and PKH assistance.
The team tried to
facilitate Buk Suma'adan by accessing the online SIKS NG application and found
that Buk Suma'adan's data had been validated in March 2021. Then the team
validated the files related to the assistance, and found differences in the
typing of names on the KTP and KKS.
The team immediately
reinforced Buk Suma'adan and her family and explained the actual
condition, that the assistant had tried really hard to keep Buk Suma'adan from
getting help.
As a follow-up, Asembagus
District TKSK and Situbondo District TKSK coordinators will oversee this issue
by coordinating with East Java Province data managers until BSP assistance can
be disbursed again.
