TANGERANG (25 August 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center "Ciungwanara" Bogor
again provides Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program for layoff
victims during the pandemic. This assistance is in accordance with the direction
of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini to empower the family
economy and maximize potential owned so that MZ can get out of poverty.
Previously, the Social
Workers and Mental Trustees of "Ciungwanara" Center carried out an
assessment first to find out the problems they were facing and determine the
appropriate follow-up.
From the results of the
assessment, it is known that MZ was previously the chef of a hotel in Jakarta
and was laid off after the pandemic. To meet the needs of the family, MZ sells
the furniture they have.
In addition, currently, MZ
is in arrears for 3 months of rent and child tuition fees. At the time of the
assessment, MZ explained that he had got a job with daily payment.
Siti Sari Rumayanti as
Head of "Ciungwanara" Center advised that the follow-up given was in
accordance with the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs. "The
Minister ordered Mr. MZ to be able to sell, if the person concerned is already
working, at least his wife at home can sell. The long-term goal, of course, is
for this family to be financially independent,” explained Siti.
ATENSI assistance
provided in the form of cash amounting to Rp. 13.1 million for a grocery shop
business capital, basic needs, and children's education costs.
The
"Ciungwanara" Social Worker continues to provide motivation and
encouragement so that Mr. MZ's family does not lose heart in facing this
pandemic, and continues to coordinate with the Depok City Social Service so
that Mr. MZ and his family can get access to assistance from the government,
one of which is the Family Hope Program ( PKH).
