Successfully Distributing Social Assistance, Member of Commission VIII DPR RI Asli Chaidir Praises the Performance of MoSA

SAWAHLUNTO (19 March 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs distributed social assistance in Sawahlunto City, West Sumatra. The social assistance includes Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI), Family Hope Program (PKH), and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT). In its implementation, this distribution was directly accompanied by Member of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Asli Chaidir at the Sawahlunto Deputy Mayor's hall.

In his report, the Director of Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drug Abuse, Victorious Saut Hamonangan Siahaan said that the amount of assistance handed over amounted to more than 2 billion rupiahs.

"The distribution of Social Assistance in Sawahlunto City which consists of ATENSI, PKH and BPNT assistance with a total of Rp. 2,118,171,000, - to 3,012 Beneficiaries. This social assistance cannot be separated from the support of Commission VIII DPR RI in encouraging the Ministry of Social Affairs to provide targeted social assistance, said Victor.

"ATENSI program is provided to the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and orphans due to Covid-19. ATENSI assistance consists of meeting basic needs, additional nutrition, accessibility consisting of wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, arm crutches, hearing aids, and ATENSI Savings for Orphans/Fatherless/Motherless due to Covid-19," he added.

The Deputy Mayor of Sawahlunto, Zohirin Sayuti, welcomed and expressed his gratitude for the social assistance provided to the people of Sawahlunto.

"Thank you Mr. Asli Chaidir and the Ministry of Social Affairs for providing social assistance to our community in Sawahlunto. Hopefully, this assistance can improve the welfare of the recipients and the assistance is utilized according to their respective needs", said Zohirin.

Asli Chairir praised the Ministry of Social Affairs’ performance in distributing this social assistance. He admitted that he should thank the Ministry of Social Affairs for their hard work in assisting the community and precisely to those who received it.

"We deserve to thank the Ministry of Social Affairs even more so to the Minister of Social Affairs. He works very hard to assist our community. Even hearing aids for persons with disabilities are considered. Indeed, the Ministry of Social Affairs is extraordinary", said Chaidir when providing accessibility assistance to Nazwah Anjella, a child with hearing and speech sensory disability.
