The Declaration of Kampung Tangguh Bersinar towards Indonesia Free from Drugs

(14 August 2021) - The declaration of Kampung
Tangguh Bersinar (free-from-Drug village), as an implementation of the
community's role in preventing drug trafficking and abuse was carried out at
the Pati Regency Hall, which was marked by the beating of a gong by the Central
Java Police Chief.
Synergy and cooperation in the prevention and
eradication of drug abuse and illicit trafficking (P4GN) is reflected in the
program to launch Kampung Tangguh Bersinar in Addarjo Village, Pati District,
Pati Regency. The event, which was initiated by the Social Welfare Institution
(LKS) assisted by Social Rehabilitation Center "Satria" Baturraden,
namely IPWL Pesantren Al Ma'laa in Pati was packaged in the concept of the Kampung
Tangguh Bersinar activity.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Social
Affairs was represented by the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation of Drug
Abuse Victims and the Head of the "Satria" Baturraden Center was
present as one of the pillars participating in the prevention and abuse of
drugs.
The Regent of Pati, Haryanto said, as the
Regional Head, he welcomed and was grateful that the declaration was carried
out in Pati Regency. The Regent also said, if these drugs have become a real
threat to life, so it takes seriousness and cooperation from all parties to
eradicate them.
"The current threat is not only COVID-19,
but drugs are also a threat that is not visible but real so that young people
often abuse it, which then has a wide impact," said Haryanto. Meanwhile, Central
Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi said Currently, the
eradication of drugs must involve all elements and stakeholders, both at the
top to bottom or village levels.
Without the cooperation of the Indonesian Army
and Police and the community, the eradication of drugs will not be able to run
optimally. The purpose of the declaration of Kampung Tangguh Bersinar is every
strong village has the power of prevention, deterrence, and courage to take
action against drugs.
"Of course the police cannot work alone.
It is necessary to cooperate with stakeholders, for example, the Pati Regent
who has facilitated activities with his youth group. Because essentially this Kampung
is from the community, by the community, and for the community," he said.
