BANDUNG (February 5, 2020) - The Social Research and Counseling Education Agency (BP3S) realizes the importance of forming superior social welfare human resources (HR). One of the steps taken is strengthening the social worker profession.

The Social Minister, Juliari P. Batubara supports all efforts of the Ministry of Social Affairs to improve the professionalism of social welfare human resources. Although it is true, increasing the capability and quality of human resources for social welfare is not an easy task.

In terms of strengthening the Social Worker profession, BP3S through the Social Worker Professional Development Center and Social Extension, held a "Social Worker Professional Education Workshop" throughout Indonesia in Bandung on February 3-5 2020 yesterday.

"I hope that more tertiary institutions will open Social Work Profession study programs so they will increasingly exist in Indonesia," said the Head of BP3S Prof Syahabuddin in his speech. Tuesday, 4/02/2020. These social workers are needed in Indonesia, he added

Furthermore, the Head of BP3S also conveyed the description of the 2020 Ministry of Social Affairs Resolution which stipulates 5 (five) focuses on strengthening the program with the tagline "HADIR".

On this occasion, the Head of BP3S again expressed his hopes. "To the Leaders of the College of Social Work Profession, immediately rush to adjust to the current conditions through reforming the curriculum in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0. Formulating and compiling innovative curriculum and learning systems are not always monotonous," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Center for Professional Development of Social Workers and social counselors, Tati Nugrahati, in her report said, "One of our goals in implementing this Workshop is there are new ideas that can support the advancement of the world of social work professional education as part of other universities besides Politiknik Kesehatan Bandung. which can produce quality and superior students for social welfare. "

Tati also added, "Our efforts in encouraging the process and stages of improving the quality of human resources for social welfare will continue to run through related parties and partners."
