SIGI (9 November 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social
Rehabilitation Center "Nipotowe" in Palu handed over ATENSI Aid to
1,519 people to beneficiaries in the Central Sulawesi region.
This aid was
handed over at the "Nipotowe" Center in Palu, the symbolic handover
of the aid to the beneficiaries was carried out together with members of
Commission VIII DPR RI in the Electoral District of Central Sulawesi Province,
Matindas J. Rumambi, S.Sos, the Head of the City and Regency Social Office throughout
the province of Central Sulawesi, and the Head of the “Nipotowe” Center.
Syaiful
Samad as the Head of the "Nipotowe" Center in Palu in his speech said
that the assistance was intended for Social Welfare Service Recipient (PPKS)
which had been recorded through the city and regency social office in Central
Sulawesi.
"The
PPKS data that we received through the "Nipotowe" Center in Palu in
2021 for the Central Sulawesi region was 1,519 people. The data comes from the
City and Regency Social Office as well as from companions and Social Welfare
Institutions (LKS),” he explained.
Syaiful
explained that from the data on the beneficiaries, there were 631 people with
disabilities, 216 victims of natural disasters, 65 Covid-19 attentions, 271
elderly people, 50 people living with HIV (ODHIV), and 14 case responses, and
276 orphans due to covid.
Furthermore,
Syaiful said that the service area of the "Nipotowe" Center was not
only Central Sulawesi, but also included the province of West Sulawesi and
parts of North Maluku Province, namely the Sula and Taliabu Islands with a
target number of beneficiaries of 2,127 people.
"We
hope that the local government through the City and Regency Social Office, so
that cooperation and coordination related to PPKS data need to be improved so
that more people are affordable and get benefits," said Syaiful.
In line with
this, Matindas J. Rumambi who attended and witnessed the handing over of aid to
PPKS at Nipotowe Center in Palu also appealed to local governments through the
Social Office to be proactive in updating data.
“All PPKS
data is currently based on DTKS data. PPKS data is the responsibility of local
governments. However, there are still many regions that are less active in
updating data,” said Matindas.
