MAJALENGKA REGENCY (November 5, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs continues the delivery of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI), PKH, Basic Food, Social Rehabilitation of Uninhabitable Houses (RSRTLH), and Entrepreneurship Program (ProKUS) which were symbolically given by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini , Members of Commission VIII DPR RI, Maman Imanul Haq and Itje Siti Dewi Kuraesin and Deputy Regent of Majalengka, Tarsono D. Mardiana in Majalengka Regency, West Java Province with a total aid of Rp. 1,989,956,153,-.

 

Assistance for Children, Persons with Disabilities, Elderly, Victims of Drug Abuse, and KPM handed over, namely ATENSI for Orphans, Fatherless and Motherless in the form of ATENSI savings for 235 children, entrepreneurship assistance for 48 people in the form of stalls, massage businesses, musical instruments, massage businesses, special massage cots, culinary businesses, and workshop businesses.

 

Furthermore, accessibility assistance was provided for 26 people in the form of wheelchairs, hearing aids (ABD), armpit crutches, elbow crutches, tripods, puth sticks, folding sticks, and digital Al-Quran. Assistance for basic needs in the form of necessities, mattresses, and accessories as well as nutrition and personal care needs was handed over to 310 people.

 

This working visit is one of the government's commitments, especially the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia together with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives to ensure that the programs of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Majalengka Regency are realized on target and are effective following the needs assessment that has been carried out by field assistants and based on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

 

Member of Commission VIII DPR RI, Maman Imanul Haq supports the Ministry of Social Affairs’ program which continues to validate data, "Don't be afraid if there are people who have not been listed as recipients of the Ministry of Social programs, this is proof that the government is always present serve the community towards a more prosperous Indonesia," said Maman.

 

The distribution and assessment process is carried out by the Technical Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely Social Rehabilitation Center Inten Soeweno Cibinong, Tan Miyat Bekasi, Budhi Dharma Bekasi, Galih Pakuan Bogor, Abiyoso Cimahi, dan Wyata Guna Bandung.

 

Especially for ATENSI savings for orphans whose parents died due to Covid-19, the amount is Rp. 300,000/month for children who are not yet in school and Rp. 200,000/month for children who are already in school.

Based on data submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs as of November 1, 2021, 38,360 children became orphans due to Covid-19. From all these data, the number of children who have been given Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) through the Social Rehabilitation Center is 13,499 children.

In addition to ATENSI support, graduation assistance for the Expected Family Program (PKH) was also given to 5 Beneficiary Families (KPM), 1,000 packages of rice assistance, Social Rehabilitation of Uninhabitable Houses (RSRTLH) for 60 KPM and Entrepreneurship Program (ProKUS) assistance provided to 1 group.

Maman Imanul Haq also said that the programs proposed by the Ministry of Social Affairs at the Commission VIII DPR RI Working Meeting were all real, proven, and directly felt by the community.

On this occasion Social Minister Risma gave reinforcement by conveying a message to orphans whose parents died due to Covid-19, "You must be strong and enthusiastic to achieve the expected goals," said Social Minister Risma to the Orphans.

The happy expression of a 66-year-old elderly from Majalengka, Inah Sarinah after receiving accessibility assistance in the form of a wheelchair, "I am grateful and happy to get a wheelchair, I can play outside and can earn a living," said Inah Sarinah, who is familiarly called Emak.
