The Ministry of Social Affairs Provides ATENSI Assistance for the Elderly in Bandung and West Bandung Regencies
BANDUNG REGENCY (27 August 2021) -
The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Bekasi "Budhi Dharma"
Elderly Center distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) service
for the elderly as many as 100 Beneficiaries in Bandung Regency and West
Bandung Regency. The distribution of assistance was carried out in the context
of a working visit by the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini along with
the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI AB Ace Hasan Syadzily and members
consisting of Arwan M. Aras, Ina Ammania, Umar Bashor, Paryono, John Kenedy
Azis, Itje Siti Dewi Kuraesin, Muhammad Ali Ridha, Abdul Wachid, M Husni, Sri
Wulan, Delmeria, Achmad are also from the secretariat of Commission VIII Yusuf
Kamaludin, Bambang Kriswanto, Reno Bulan and experts Harja Saputra which was
held at the SLRT Sabilulungan building, Bandung Regency.
The ATENSI assistance was in the form of 100
nutritional packages containing calcium milk for the elderly, biscuits,
sardines, corned beef, shredded, and honey. In addition to the nutrition
package, the need for accessibility aids in the form of 3 wheelchairs and 4
walkers are also provided. The assistance is intended for 50 elderly people in
the Bandung Regency area and 50 elderly people in the West Bandung Regency
area.
Head of Sub-Division of Administration for the
Bekasi Elderly Center, Dewi Kania, and a team consisting of social instructors
and nurses directly distributed the assistance to the elderly beneficiaries of
ATENSI assistance, accompanied by Community Social Workers (PSM), Social
Service and Pusaka.
"This is a walker for you Mom so that you
can walk easily, so you don't need any more tree trunks to walk and you also give
nutrients include milk, biscuits, sardines, corned beef, shredded, and honey. We
hope you are healthy", explained Dewi to one of the beneficiaries of
ATENSI assistance.
Rasmanah (68 years old) said, "I am
touched and happy. Thank you for giving me a wheelchair, so I don’t need to use a cane anymore".
