The Ministry of Social Affairs Provides Entrepreneurship Assistance for SY, a Sukabumi Resident who Lives in a Hut
SUKABUMI (29
October 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation
Center “Phala Martha” Sukabumi visited SY's residence in Rawabening Village RT
006 RT 004 Cidadap Village, Cidadap District, Sukabumi Regency.
SY (53 years
old) and his wife (SI) work as scavengers. They live in an uninhabitable house
measuring 3 x 4 meters. Their condition has gone viral on social media.
The Ministry
of Social Affairs handed over ATENSI support in the form of Sheep
Entrepreneurship worth Rp.4.725.000,-, consisting of a male sheep, 2 female
sheep, a pair of boots and one sickle.
This
assistance was given based on the results of the assessment of the Social
Worker of Phala Martha on SY. The consideration is the ability of SY and the
potential of the environment at the Talaga Kencana Plantation which is
overgrown with grass for sheep food.
"Thank
you for this help," said SY. I will take good care of the sheep so they
can give birth. Later it can be sold to help meet daily needs and can also be
used as capital for a junk business, he continued.
The Head of
Cidadap Village, Asep Mulyadi expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social
Affairs through Phala Martha Sukabumi for this assistance to one of its
residents.
"Hopefully
SY can take care of it well and the livestock products can help with their
daily needs," he hoped.
The Social
Worker of Phala Martha, Kusman said that this assistance for the sheep farming
business was the second aid received by SY.
"Previously,
on October 15, 2021, basic material assistance was handed over to help fulfill
daily life," continued Kusman.
"Hopefully
SY can make good use of this assistance and can breed his livestock, so that it
can help the family's economy," he hoped.
The aid was received directly by SY, witnessed by the Head of Cidadap Village, the Head of the RW and the local community.
