To Make Wonogiri Elderly Happy, Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes ATENSI Assistance
WONOGIRI (August 23, 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center for Elderly “Budhi Dharma” Bekasi
distributed 100 nutrition packages and assistive devices consisting of
wheelchairs, walkers, and canes for the elderly in Wonogiri Regency. This
activity is part of a series of work visits by the Minister of Social Affairs
to Central Java.
"A total of 1538 aid
packages, the form of assistance is not only money but for example, if they
wants to sell something, we buy rombong
(carts), we give food ingredients, (20/8/2021)" said the Minister of
Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini when asked by
reporters during the symbolic handing over of aid held in Sragen Regency in
Ngelorog Village.
The Head of the Budhi
Dharma Bekasi Elderly Center, Pujiyanto accompanied by the Head of the Social
Rehabilitation Section of the Social Service and the District Social Welfare
Workers (TKSK) of Wonogiri Regency directly distributed the nutritional
assistance and aids to the elderly beneficiaries in Wonogiri Regency.
In his opportunity to
distribute to the elderly, Pujiyanto and his team taught and trained the
elderly and their families how to use the tools provided and conveyed what
their functions were for the elderly.
"How are you? Are
you happy? now you don't need to just stay in your room, you can go for a walk,
sunbathe in the morning while doing light exercise around the house, and don't
forget to eat this, the additional nutrition, there is honey, milk, shredded,
biscuits and vitamins so that you will be healthier," said Pujiyanto to
one of the beneficiaries when handing over the aid.
