TASIKMALAYA (19th June 2020) - There was something extraordinary about the distribution of Cash Social Assistance (BST) at the Ciawi Post Office in Ciawi District, Tasikmalaya Regency on 19th June 2020. Two cabinet ministers of Indonesia Onward were present to directly observe the disbursement of BST for 108 Beneficiary Families (KPM) who were present at the post office located on Jalan Ciawi-Pamoyanan.

The presence of the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, together with the Minister of State Development Planning, Suharso Monoarfa and the team were welcomed by the Regent of Tasikmalaya Ade Sugianto and Mayor of Tasikmalaya Budi Budiman to review the disbursement of BST 3rd stages.

In his direction, the Minister of Social Affairs advised that BST funds can be used to buy basic necessities.

BST will be given until December but the amount will be IDR 300,000 per KPM.

This is because we are entering a new normal period where it is hoped that all can return to work. "Assistance is still given as support to increase the purchase of basic necessities," he explained.

The realization of BST distribution in Tasikmalaya Regency reached 34,146 KPM or 96% for stage 1. As for stage 2 it was 33,250 KPM or 98%.

This visit was the third stop of the Social Minister's Working Visit before the entourage visited the Indihiang Post Office in Tasikmalaya City.
