YOGYAKARTA (February 7, 2020) - the Special Work Visit Team of Commission VIII of the Republic
of Indonesia (RI) House of Representatives monitors the development of Social
Welfare Human Resources in the Ministry of Social Welfare Research and
Education (BP3S) of Ministry of Social Affairs.
On this occasion, the Kunker
team chaired by Ace Hasan Syadzily visited one of the Big Centers under BP3S,
the Yogyakarta Social Welfare Training and Education Center (BBPPKS).
The presence of Commission
VIII was welcomed directly by the Head of BP3S Prof. Syahabuddin was
accompanied by the Head of BBPPKS Yogyakarta.
Before conveying the objective
and objectives of the visit, the team also had the opportunity to directly
inspect the Social Welfare Facilities' infrastructure in terms of supporting
Education and Training in BBPPKS Yogyakarta.
Ace Hasan said, during his visit
he brought 23 people who were members of the specific team.
The goal and purpose of the
visit team is to find out to what extent BP3S through the Central Education and
Training Center underneath it in terms of developing Social Welfare HR in the
Ministry of Social Affairs.
"The success of social
welfare programs in the Ministry of Social Affairs is certainly the key is in
BP3S," Ace Hasan said in his speech at the hall of the BBPPKS Yogyakarta.

We, Commission VIII, added
Ace, have provided a lot of support, for example the PKH program has increased
every year, including the BPNT and other programs in terms of social welfare.
"For this reason, all of
this must be supported by adequate human resources without strong human
resources from social workers. Of course we do not want these programs to
fail," he explained.
On the same occasion, the Head
of BP3S also conveyed, related to the duties and functions of BP3S.
"We have a directive from
the Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara related to policies and
programs in the Ministry of Social Affairs, including Social Assistance in the
future, all based on research," said the Head of BP3S
In addition to social protection, he also asked the Ministry of Social Research and Development Agency to strengthen research related to social empowerment.
