JAKARTA (July 26, 2020) - Member III of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) Achsanul Qosasi stated that the Ministry of Social Affairs is a reflection of public services with a large budget value. BPK ensures that the Ministry of Social Affairs budget performance meets the principles of good governance.

"Since the beginning, BPK has overseen the Ministry of Social Affairs. The public must know that the Ministry of Social Affairs is capable of managing the large budget entrusted by the state. Because the Ministry of Social Affairs is a reflection of public services. With the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) it proves that the Ministry of Social Affairs is performing well, ”said Achsanul Qosasi, at the Ministry of Social Affairs Office, Cawang Kencana Building, recently.

Achsanul Qosasi was present at the Ministry of Social Affairs Office, Cawang Kencana Building to submit the BPK Audit Result Report (LHP) on the Ministry of Social Affairs Financial Report for the 2019 Year. In this LHP, BPK provided WTP opinion for the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Thus, the Ministry of Social Affairs has received the WTP opinion four times in a row. The presence of Member III of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Achsanul Qosasi was received directly by the Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara. Also attending to accompany the Minister of Social Affairs, Secretary General Hartono Laras, Inspector General Dadang Iskandar, Echelon I and Echelon II officials.

A good budget performance, said Achsanul, is also important to ensure, because with the current budget value of Rp. 124.766 trillion, the Ministry of Social Affairs has been assigned by the state to distribute social assistance to tens of millions of aid recipients.

In line with the task of dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Social Affairs budget continues to increase. From the budget ceiling of Rp. 62.8 trillion, an increase was made to Rp. 104.45 trillion. Budget realization had reached IDR 66,241 trillion (63.42%), or the largest among K / L. Now the Ministry of Social Affairs budget is top-up again so that it becomes IDR 124.766 trillion, with realization number 2.

"BPK needs to come directly to the Ministry of Social Affairs with the intention of motivating state officials at the Ministry of Social Affairs to work well. Especially at this time, the Ministry of Social Affairs budget is among the largest among K / L. And the use of it is for populist programs in the context of handling the impact of COVID-19, "he said.

Appreciation of Building Use

On the occasion of the visit, Achsanul did not forget to also appreciate the Ministry of Social Affairs for being able to take advantage of the Cawang Kencana Building (GCK) again.

As is known, after going through a long legal process, this building can return to the lap of the Ministry of Social Affairs. GCK returns are also inseparable from the follow-up of the 2015 BPK examination results.

"This building is a very large state asset and can be managed and utilized properly to support the office operations of the Ministry of Social Affairs in line with the increasingly large and increasing tasks," he said.

Minister of Social Affairs Juliari gave high appreciation to all levels of the Ministry of Social Affairs for these achievements. The WTP opinion this time feels very important for the Ministry of Social Affairs which continues to increase the amount of its budget, especially for social assistance spending, even in 2020 the Ministry of Social Affairs budget has the largest budget of all K / L.

"I welcome this achievement. In the midst of an ever-increasing budget, we can achieve and maintain the WTP predicate. I think this certainly cannot be separated from good cooperation and strong commitment from all levels of the Ministry of Social Affairs, especially in transparent and accountable budget management. Of course, this achievement cannot be separated from the guidance of the BPK Examination Team, "he said.
