The distribution of the social rehabilitation assistance funds for children is one of the actions to accelerate assistance in overcoming the COVID-19 outbreak which targets children as assistance recipients. The assistance recipients have been transferred to the children’s accounts through one of the state banks since April 29th, 2020. The process of withdrawing the funds has been carried out since May 4th, 2020. The Paramita Children’s Center continues to monitor the use of assistance funds through a group messenger app so that the assistance provided can be used properly.

In accordance with the technical guidelines for Child Social Rehabilitation Assistance from the Directorate of Child Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the target of this assistance is children aged 0 to 18 from poor/underprivileged families and registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and are LKSA-assisted children who are either from orphanages or family-based (non-orphanages).

As for the use of assistance funds provided to children who receive assistance at LKSA, in accordance with the purpose of social rehabilitation assistance are as follows: Assistance for children is 500,000 rupiahs which include the purchase of immune supplements and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, hand sanitizers, and gloves. Meanwhile, the remaining 500,000 rupiahs are used for social care, family support, and therapy, so that the total assistance for each child is 1,000,000 rupiahs.

The head of the Paramita Children's Center, I Ketut Supena, said, "Ladies and gentlemen, for the purpose of utilizing the funds, please always pay attention to health protocols. Don't forget to always keep your distance when holding a Meeting for the Reinforcement of the Capabilities of Children and Families. The use of PPE must also be prioritized in carrying out various activities related to the use of this assistance fund,"

During the monitoring process, the Center officers will always ask about the extent to which assistance funds have been used, and what obstacles were encountered during the process of utilizing assistance funds. If there are things that are considered to be an obstacle when implementing the use of assistance funds, the LKSA officers are asked not to hesitate to ask the Center officers. It is hoped that this 2020 Children's Social Rehabilitation Assistance can help anticipate the spread of COVID-19, especially for children who are also vulnerable to being exposed to the Corona Virus.
