Build Posyandu for Elderly, "Mulya Jaya" Center Conducts Dissemination
JAKARTA (25
November 2021) - Following up on the direction of the Minister
of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini as stipulated in the Minister of Social
Affairs Regulation Number 7 of 2021 on Social Rehabilitation Assistance
(ATENSI) regarding the Elderly Posyandu, the Ministry of Social Affairs through
Social Rehabilitation Center “Mulya Jaya” in Jakarta will establish an Elderly
Posyandu in the RW 02 area Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.
To encourage
and activate by facilitating the Elderly Posyandu, "Mulya Jaya" Center
held dissemination which was attended by RW 02 officials, 10 RT heads in RW 02,
and Posyandu cadres.
Head of Center,
Ai Herliyah accompanied by Head of Sub-Division of Administration, Muchyidin,
Head of Section for Social Rehabilitation Services, Edy Santoso, and
Sub-Coordinator of Section for Assessment and Social Advocacy, Agung Santoso
explained that this Posyandu for the Elderly will begin to be formed together
with the people who live around the Center.
"The
main activities carried out are health checks, social assistance, and other
activities to fill the spare time of the elderly according to the needs of the
elderly. Assistance in access to health services, additional nutrition for the
elderly, and other needs will be adjusted according to the results of
assessments carried out by Social Workers. We hope that this program can be
supported," explained Ai.
The head of
RW 02 Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo District admitted that his party supports this
program. "We are very happy and appreciate the existence of this program.
In principle, anytime we will be involved we are ready to help. We are very
grateful," he said.
"We
from the Elderly Posyandu have 6 members. When this program is running, we want
to hold simple elderly gymnastics activities," added Sri, who is a member
of the Elderly Posyandu.
