BEKASI (23 November 2021) - The Elderly Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program (ATENSI) was developed through three service bases, namely Family-based ATENSI, Community-based ATENSI, and Residential-based ATENSI. This time Social Rehabilitation Center "Budi Dharma" Bekasi carried out Residential-based Elderly Social Rehabilitation Assistance activities for the elderly.

 

Residential-based ATENSI provides direct services to the elderly in the Center, one of which is through Vocational Therapy which is carried out by developing the Elderly Agrotourism area.

 

Elderly agrotourism is one of the service innovations carried out by the "Budi Dharma" Center in Bekasi. Carrying the concept of green open space, this land was formed into an elderly-friendly area. Not fighting alone, "Budi Dharma" Center cooperates with PT Andalan Furnindo to develop it.

 

PT Andalan Furnindo as a leading refined sugar company in Indonesia located in Tarumajaya, Bekasi participates in social rehabilitation services carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center "Budi Dharma" Bekasi by assisting in the form of clothing assistance for the elderly, assistance for fish seeds, fish ponds, and cages. The total assistance reached Rp10,372,000, 00.

 

Previously, "Budi Dharma" Center has collaborated with PT Andalan Furnindo since 2017. Starting from sewing machine and audio assistance to pioneering Agrotourism through the assistance of citrus plant seeds as empowerment material for residential elderly.

 

Today, Tuesday (11/23/2021) a symbolic handover of aid in Elderly Agrotourism was held. The activity began with a welcoming speech, symbolic handing over of the love rope, sowing fish seeds, and ended with a group photo.

 

Indrawan as the Section Head of Social Rehabilitation Services who on this occasion represented the Head of "Budi Dharma" Center expressed his gratitude. "We are very grateful because PT Andalan Furnindo has helped us develop this Elderly Agrotourism, we hope this collaboration will continue," said Indrawan.

 

In his remarks, Malian Ingganata as Human Resources & General Affairs of PT Andalan Furnindo said that this assistance was an effort to make the elderly happy. "We want to share our happiness with the grandparents who are here with the help we convey", said Ian, as he is usually called.
