TASIKMALAYA (May 28, 2022) - To commemorate and enliven the 26th Elderly Day (HLUN) in 2022, the Ministry of Social Affairs held a series of activities that directly touched the community, especially the elderly.

 

Commemoration of the National Elderly Day is a form of state appreciation for the spirit of body and soul and the role of the elderly in national development. This HLUN commemoration activity is a form of state attention to the elderly and protecting them in their old age, such as the theme of this year's HLUN commemoration, "Strong Indonesia, Healthy Elderly".

 

The highlight of the 2022 HLUN commemoration will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022, and carried out simultaneously in 39 (thirty-nine) sub-districts in Tasikmalaya Regency accompanied by integrated services.

 

Sentra Abiseka Pekanbaru participated in the 2022 HLUN activity. The stages that have been carried out are assessments for the elderly who are spread across 12 villages in Salawu District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The Abiseka Center distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program by the Abiseka Center Pekanbaru to 360 elderly spread over 12 villages in Salawu District with a value of IDR 251,997,000.00.

 

The HLUN Commemoration activity in Salawu District was filled with various activities such as cataract surgery, Habitable Houses for the elderly, elderly gymnastics, elderly health center, blood donation, vaccinations for the elderly, and local product bazaars from villages in Salawu district.

 

The ATENSI program for the elderly has been prepared in the form of 140 food packages, 214 nutrition packages, 200 clothing packages for the elderly, 10 entrepreneurship packages for the elderly, as well as accessibility assistance for the elderly in the form of 10 wheelchairs, 8 hearing aids, 3 leg sticks, and one legs stick

 

Food and nutrition assistance has been distributed to 169 elderly who were not present at the peak event on May 29, 2022, in 12 villages in Salawu sub-district.

 

In addition to ATENSI program, social rehabilitation assistance for uninhabitable houses (RUTILAHU) was also distributed to 1 (one) beneficiary for IDR 20,000,000.00 in Neglasari Village. So that the total aid distributed in Salawu Tasikmalaya District is IDR 271,997,000.00.

 

Atikah (83 years old), the recipient of the RUTILAHU and ATENSI program is happy and grateful because her house can be repaired, and also received a bed, mattress, and other household equipment. The Head of Salawu Sub-district, Deden Trio, expressed his gratitude for the attention and assistance from MoSA to Mrs. Atikah and the elderly living in Salawu District.
