Commemorating the 26th HLUN, "Handayani" Center Distributes ATENSI for Elderly in Tasikmalaya
TASIKMALAYA (May 28,
2022) - A happy smile appeared on Grandma Koyah's face when the Handayani
Center team visited her to distribute ATENSI program. This 62-year-old
grandmother received a package of nutrition assistance, clothing, and her new
house equipment which was also uninhabitable house assistance from MoSA.
"Thank you for helping
me, I am so glad," she said in Sundanese.
Grandma Koyah is one of
the elderly recipients of ATENSI in commemorating the National Elderly Day in
Cikalong District which was distributed by the Handayani Center. The
commemoration of the 26th HLUN in 2022 is spread across 39 sub-districts in
Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java.
Meanwhile, the Head of
Handayani Center, Ana Puspasari, revealed that Handayani Center had distributed
ATENSI to 355 elderly spread across two sub-districts, namely Cikalong District
and Bojong Asih District.
"In commemoration
of the 26th HLUN in 2022, we distributed aid to two sub-districts. 185 in
Bojong Asih, and 170 in Cikalong area. During these 3 days, our team has
distributed the assistance to the elderly directly door to door," she
said.
Anna continued, that the
total assistance distributed was IDR 448,399,000. The assistance consists of
meeting basic needs in the form of nutrition and clothing, accessibility
support, and entrepreneurship.
Before assisting, Anna said that Handayani Center had sent a team to conduct direct
assessments of elderly ATENSI recipients.
