MANADO (July 16th, 2024) – The speed of Ministry
of Social Affairs (MoSA) in distributing social assistance all over
Indonesia was appreciated by the Chairman of Commission VIII of the House of
Representatives, Ashabul Kahfi. He thought that the success was supported by the
strategic location of the Integrated Centers and Centers in Indonesia so that
the distribution could be done quickly and accurately.
“I feel the presence of Ministry of Social Affairs’ centers. Many times, underprivileged people who need wheelchairs and another assistive devices can be handled through centers due to their quick distribution,” Ashabul said in his speech at Tumou Tou Center in Manado.
The presence of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives in Tumou Tou Center was a part of the second day of the Recess Working Visit of Commission VIII of House of Representatives in North Sulawesi. Other than observing the social assistance distribution process, the representative of Commission VIII also distributed assistance symbolically for Manado City to the head of Manado City Social Office, Rollies Royke Rondonuwu, AP. The event was continued by the assistance distribution for some persons in need of social welfare services who were present.
Represented the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Director of Social Rehabilitation for Disaster and Emergency-Affected People Rachmat Koesnadi stated that the assistance distributed by MoSA for Manado City worthed IDR 30,545,835,734. The assistance consisted of Family Hope Program (PKH) social assistance worth IDR 12.992.880.191, basic food assistance of IDR 17,008.600.000, and ATENSI assistance from Tumou Tou Manado worth IDR 544,354,820.
One of the beneficiaries from the child cluster, Alfando Christian Daniel Mawekang, expressed his gratitude for the assistance given. Alfando who had physical disabilities received Room Amenities assistance from Tumou Tou Center in Manado. “Thank you, Sir,” he said.
