Coordination Meeting for the Distribution and Utilization of Child Social Rehabilitation Assistance
BEKASI (November 5, 2019) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Edi Suharto opened a Coordination Meeting for the Distribution and Utilization of Children's Social Rehabilitation Assistance in 2019 for four days on 5-8 November 2019 at the Horison Ultima Hotel, Bekasi.
Child Social Rehabilitation Assistance strives to reach all children who experience social problems and need further social rehabilitation, so that they can enjoy a decent life and are in a nurturing environment that allows them to grow and develop optimally according to their potential.
The use of this assistance is carried out through children's BanTu (Assistance Aimed) activities, family support, social care and therapy. The mechanism for proposing Child Social Rehabilitation Assistance is determined based on the Integrated Database (BDT) through the SIKS-NG PMKS Application in accordance with the mandate of the Minister of Social Affairs Regulation No.1 of 2019 concerning the Distribution of Social Assistance Expenditures at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Edi Suharto explained that the strategy for implementing the Social Rehabilitation Program 5.0 New Platform for the Social Welfare Services Recipient (PPKS) must as quickly as possible reintegrate individuals into their families and communities through efforts to focus on improving the social functions of PPKS by maximizing the strength and potential of PPKS and preparing families by partnering with the community.
"These efforts aim to develop an inclusive environment so that PPKS can immediately integrate with the community," explained Edi.
With the implementation of this activity, hopefully that there will be a common understanding in the implementation of the distribution and utilization of Social Rehabilitation Assistance for Children in 2019. This activity was attended by 35 participants consisting of the National Forum for Child Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA) / Child Orphanage Social Institutions (PSAA) and representatives of the Chairperson of the LKSA.
