JAKARTA (October 25, 2019) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Edi Suharto, accompanied by Echelon II and III Officers within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, presented a new perspective in the provision of social rehabilitation services before the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, took place in the Social Ministerial floor meeting room 2 Ministry of Social Affairs Building.
According to Edi Suharto, the Social Rehabilitation Service of the Ministry of Social Affairs implemented a new approach to Progress 5.0, which is a social rehabilitation program that is applied holistically, systematically and is standardized on five clusters targeted for social rehabilitation namely Children (focused on Children Needing Special Protection and Children Needing Development Social Functions), Persons with Disabilities, Victims of Drug Abuse, Social Disabilities and Victims of Human Trafficking and Elderly.
On this occasion Edi Suharto also shared a number of things related to the implementation of social rehabilitation, including the division of authority between the central and regional governments as stipulated in Law Number 23 of 2014 which became the basis for strengthening the function of the Social Rehabilitation Center as Advanced Social Rehabilitation.
The Minister of Social Affairs closed the meeting and hoped that employees in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation would have enthusiasm and empathy in working.
