Enlivening HAN 2022, "Satria" Center Invites Aikmel Residents to Fulfill Children's Rights
LOMBOK TIMUR (July 28, 2022) - The excitement of the 2022 National Children's Day in Aikmel District, Lombok Timur is getting more and more felt. 150 children and their parents flocked to the Aikmel District Office where the Joint Play Event was held by the "Satria" Baturraden Center Team.
Educational and traditional games such as puzzles, throwing congklak bracelets, gobag sodor, jumping rope, snakes and ladders are provided for the children who come.
Not just inviting them to play, the "Satria" Center Team together with social assistants, the Community Health Center, Population and Civil Records Office, village officials, and Aikmel District officials also facilitated free health checks for children and the making of birth certificates and Child Identity Cards for children who were not registered.
Health checks are carried out as an early detection of stunting problems. The examination includes measuring height, weight, checking immunization status including the Covid vaccine and general health. It was recorded that 142 children had their health checked.
Meanwhile, making Child Identity Cards and Birth Certificates is a form of concern that the state is present. Fulfillment of Children's Identity Rights is not only the responsibility of parents but also the government. Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection states that every child has the right to a name as personal identity and citizenship status which is stated in the birth certificate.
"We ask parents to register immediately so that a child's certificate and identity card will be made," said the Secretary of Aikmel District, Mustin.
The "Satria" Center Team also held a social campaign related to the dangers of drug abuse, sexual violence against children, prevention of early marriage and tips on parenting in the digital era.
In addition, the distribution of assistance to children in need. Darmanto, Head of the "Satria" Baturraden Center said that there were 200 aid packages in the form of additional nutrition (honey, multivitamins, milk, eggs, green beans), cleaning tools, towels, blankets, school supplies, baby equipment and worship tools distributed to children. children in 11 villages in Aikmel District in the current series of HAN 2022 activities.
