Field Trip to the National Museum, Sentra Handayani Introduces History to Beneficiaries
The group of
participants was immediately released by the Head of the Handayani Center, Anna
Puspasari. In front of 20 field trip participants, Anna conveyed that children
could learn and gain a lot of knowledge from visits to national museums.
In her greeting,
Anna said "My children, this visit is a good opportunity for you to learn
about Indonesia. So, enjoy this field trip, I hope you can love your homeland
more.
This field trip
was initiated because many children do not know Indonesia. This
is because some children are troubled migrant workers (PMIB) referred to by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs who do not understand Indonesia at all. Some of
them even cannot speak Indonesian fluently when they first come.
The field trip to
the national museum was conducted in two sessions. The first session is a tour
around the museum to see the existing collections. Meanwhile, in the second
session, the children were invited to experience the nature of Indonesia since
pre-historic times in Imersifa "The New Room of Imagination".
