PATI (25 February 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center “Margo Laras” in Pati in collaboration with the Margorejo Health Center carried out COVID-19 vaccinations for people with mental disabilities who received 15 residential-based Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) services, in the Integrated Services Room, Friday (25 /2).

The doctor at the Margorejo Health Center, Dr. Veni, said that vaccination was an effort to prevent COVID-19 in the office environment, especially for beneficiaries who had not received any vaccinations at all.

"The prevention of COVID-19 in Margo Laras Center environment aims to increase body resistance (immunity), especially for vulnerable groups such as people with mental disabilities who are referred to Liponsos in Surabaya, they also already have a NIK as a result of recording an E-KTP 2 (two) weeks ago after being initiated by Margo Laras Center in collaboration with the Dukcapil (Population and Civil Registry) Office," said Jiwaningsih.

The Margorejo Health Center doctor also added that the vaccine recipients were checked for body temperature and blood pressure as well as other screenings, before administering the vaccine, they would then be observed for a maximum of 5 minutes.

It is hoped that during the pandemic the beneficiaries will have immunity and health status.

"Education for a clean and healthy life behavior (PHBS), the use of masks properly and proper handwashing have also been carried out before the implementation of vaccination, we also continue to apply health protocols to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, the Omicron variant which is on the rise," concluded Nanda, the Nurse of Margo Laras Pati.
