TASIKMALAYA (May 28, 2022) - The day before the peak event of the 26th National Elderly Day commemoration in 2022, the Galih Pakuan Center in Bogor monitored the implementation of a series of assistance activities in Bantarkalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency.

 

The Galih Pakuan Center Team distributed nutritional and basic food assistance to elderly beneficiaries, this time the Team carried out several activities ahead of the peak event of the National Elderly Day commemoration which falls on Sunday, May 29, 2022, which will be held in the Bantarkalong District Office Hall, Tasikmalaya Regency.

 

In addition to preparing all the needs for spatial planning and other equipment, the Team also ensures the preparation of the provision of disability aids. Hearing aid settings were also carried out for several elderly.

 

At another location, the Director of Community Empowerment of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, Arif Nahari, accompanied by the Head of the Galih Pakuan Center, Siti Sari Rumayanti, monitored the rehabilitation of Uninhabitable Houses (Rutilahu). This assistance is a form of collaboration between the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation and the Directorate General of Social Empowerment to provide direct assistance to the elderly in need.

 

Cicih, an elderly recipient of Rutilahu's assistance, said she was very happy with this assistance. "Thank you very much for paying attention to us, with this assistance we can get a better and more comfortable place to live," she said.

 

Several elements from the sub-district government, village, and surrounding communities were involved in the success of the 26th National Elderly Day commemoration event in 2022 in Bantarkalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency.
