"Kartini" Center of Temanggung Holds Ramadan Bazaar
TEMANGGUNG (10 May 2021) – “Kartini” Center of
Temanggung held a Ramadan Bazaar ahead of Eid 1422 H. This one-day bazaar
displayed and sold the works of the People Needing Social Welfare Services such
as snacks, splash batik, sarongs, mukena, ornamental plants, and handicrafts.
The head of the
"Kartini" Center, Juena Sitepu, conveyed that the holding of the
Ramadan Bazaar proves that the Ministry of Social Affairs through the
Temanggung "Kartini" Center is present in the community and the
existence of the Attention Creation Center (SKA) that can be used by the
community, both to sell products made by people with disabilities and people
who want to get service at "Kartini" Center. Not limited to certain
problems, but all people who need services.
"People's products
that have so far lacked or did not have large capital to open a business, we
are trying to sell these goods here," added Juena.
This bazaar also prepared
around 275 packages of cheap necessities each containing 5 kilograms of
premium rice, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 1 liter of cooking oil valued at IDR
75,000, but sold at IDR 50,000 and 3 kilograms of premium rice, 1 kilogram of
granulated sugar, and 1 liter of cooking oil worth IDR 55,000 is sold for IDR
30,000.
"We have also
prepared 64 packages of free necessities for the poor who live around the
Kartini Center," said Juena.
Mondoyono, one of the
recipients of the free groceries, expressed his deepest gratitude for this
basic food assistance. "These free groceries and clothes really help us as
a family. Especially when it is approaching Eid," added Mondoyono.
This bazaar also organizes haircuts, blood sugar checks, and appropriate clothes to wear, all of which are free for the community to help alleviate the fulfillment of people's needs in welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1442 H.
