Logistics Building Management Must Be Digital and Paperless
MAKASSAR (20
April 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs is preparing for post-disaster
handling, one of which is related to the management and provision of food
stocks and equipment in logistics warehouses.
"So,
please, all warehouses can be integrated with displaying warehouse content data
digitally and no longer in paper form," said Social Minister Tri
Rismaharini while reviewing the eastern logistics warehouse in Makassar,
Tuesday (20/4/2021) afternoon.
In every
warehouse, said the Minister of Social Affairs, it is necessary to have the
availability of goods that must be delivered quickly to various disaster
locations and not hindered by transportation equipment and shipping costs.
"In the
logistics warehouse, it is necessary to add sufficient contents so that
delivery to the disaster location is not hampered by transportation and
shipping costs," said the Minister.
In addition,
the Minister of Social Affairs asked at the disaster site to prepare tents with
materials not made of tarpaulin and given a hole in the middle to make it
easier to support the tent poles.
"It is
necessary to prepare a tent model with non-tarpaulin material and at the middle
end there is a hole to support the pole like the one used in Scouting," she
said.
Experience at the disaster site recently, logistics delivery was constrained by the sea transportation mode, which was hampered by waves and the road conditions damaged by the disaster made a delivery for residents hampered and did not arrive quickly.
