On the second day, the Team distributed the assistance for flood disaster management in Lingkungan 14, Lampu 1 Kampung Baru, and Medan Baru District. The assistance includes 100 boxes of ready-to-eat food, 25 mattresses, 80 blankets, 3 boxes of drinks, 7 packets of diapers, 100 boxes of side dishes.

In the post-flood location, "Bahagia" Center distributed the assistance consisting of 60 boxes of ready-to-eat food, 40 boxes of children's food, 40 blankets, 25 velbeds, 30 mattresses, 3 boxes of drinks, and 7 packages of diapers.

Several points in the city of Medan were flooded due to continuous rainfall for several days. Floods often occur during the rainy season due to poor drainage conditions.

There were no casualties due to this flood, but several residents suffered material and non-material losses. In addition, residents were forced to evacuate to safer places, including to rest at night.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, instructed Bahagia Center to respond quickly to the flood disaster in Medan City. The team was assigned to immediately coordinate with the local government and monitor and record the urgent needs of flood-affected residents.

Until now, the flood has receded, but the Team still urges residents to be prepared considering the rain that persists every day.

The distribution of aid for flood disaster management which lasted for three days was also attended by Expert Staff of the Members of Commission VIII DPR RI. Several residents appreciated the presence of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the assistance in handling flood disasters that had been distributed quickly and accurately.
