Member of Commission VIII DPR RI Visits "Dharma Guna" Bengkulu Center
BENGKULU
(12 June 2021) - Member of
Commission VIII DPR RI Muhammad Saleh paid a working visit to Dharma Guna
Bengkulu Center which is one of the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of the
Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
During his working visit, Muhammad Saleh
reviewed the implementation of Dharma Guna Social Rehabilitation Assistance
(ATENSI) program, one of which was the provision of Vocational Hydroponic
therapy, Fisheries, and the Kalamansi Orange Syrup Production Installation.
Muhammad Saleh expressed his appreciation for
the cleanliness and tidiness of the environment as well as the availability of the
Center’s facilities and infrastructure to provide services to beneficiaries. He
said that any proposed budget in the interest of the community towards solving
social problems would not be complicated.
"This fishery skills activity can be
focused on spawning fish and selling fish seeds because it is more practical,
productive and more economically valuable," Muhammad Saleh suggested for
the development of Fishery Skills at Dharma Guna Center.
On this working visit, Muhammad Saleh also
symbolically handed over ATENSI Aid from the Ministry of Social Affairs through
Dharma Guna Center with a total amount of Rp. 203,509,000 which is intended for
beneficiaries of Community-Based Social Rehabilitation which is fostered by the
ASA Foundation of Rejang Lebong Regency with a total of 30 PM with a total amount
of Rp.42,000,000, Family-Based ATENSI for the Bengkulu City area, the number of
PM is 29 people with a total amount of Rp. 54.009.000 and Family-Based Attention
in Rejang Lebong Regency with the number of PM 61 people getting assistance as
much as Rp. 107.500.000. The assistance was given to PM after going through a
rigorous verification and assessment process.
Head of Dharma Guna Center, Dardi said that total
of Dharma Guna Beneficiaries until early June 2021 was 445 people and it is out
of a target of 2,270 beneficiaries. Dardi said that the data that had been
entered from each province would be subject to verification, validation, and
assessment processes so that interventions could be carried out.
Also attending to accompany Muhammad Saleh on his working visit were Senior Advisor of the Minister of Social Affairs for Social Accessibility, Sonny W Manalu, Head of the Sub-Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities, Ema Widiati, Head of Bengkulu Province Social Service, Iskandar ZO, Secretary of Bengkulu City Social Service, Yunita.
"The Dharma Guna City has a regional reach throughout Sumatra and has a target of 2,270 beneficiaries. Hopefully, this can be achieved soon so that many will benefit from the existence of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Sumatra, and will be more enthusiastic in providing services because it is supported by Commission VIII of the DPR RI," said Sonny W Manalu.
The follow-up to this
Working Visit is that Commission VIII of the House of Representatives will
discuss budgeting for the Ministry of Social Affairs' Center so that it can
improve its services and performance to better function.
