Social Minister Issues Circular Letter Regulating Work from Home System
JAKARTA (March 16, 2020) - The
Ministry of Social Affairs continues to take rapid steps in anticipating the
spread and handling of COVID-19. Today the Minister of Social Affairs Juliari
P. Batubara issues Circular Letter (SE) No 2 of 2020.
The Circular Letter contains
Guidelines for the Implementation of Work in the Office and Work From Home
(WFH) for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of Ministry of Social Affairs. In
addition, today the Minister of Social Affairs also symbolically distributed
masks and hand sanitizers to all of his employees and made sure that all workspaces
in the Ministry of Social office at the central and Technical Services Unit (UPT)
offices in the regions doubled their effort in maintaining cleanliness.
In addition, the Minister of Social
Affairs also continued to ascertain the steps of all visiting staff and guest following
the Circular and Guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19. On the same day,
the Minister of Social Affairs was at the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital,
Jakarta, to check his health as directed by the President to the ministers of
the Indonesia Onward Cabinet.
Circular Letter No. 2 is Social
Minister's quick response to President Joko Widodo's direction on steps to deal
with the global COVID-19 pandemic, which was delivered at the Bogor
Presidential Palace, West Java, Sunday (3/15/2020).
One important point of the President's
directives is to work from home, learn from home, and worship from home.
Circular Letter No. 2 is also a
follow-up to Circular Letter of the Minister of Civil Apparatus Empowerment and
Bureaucratic Reform No. 19 of 2020 concerning Adjustment of the Work System of
the State Civil Apparatus in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within
government agencies on March 16, 2020.
Circular Letter No.2 regulates ASN working
in the office and from home and how it mechanism works to ensure that services
to the community continue to run effectively and efficiently.
The Circular Letter was issued as an implementation
of Social Distancing to prevent and protect ASN from being infected by COVID-19,
while providing work guidance and ensuring that the Ministry of Social
services, tasks and functions continue to run optimally.
In addition, the Ministry of Social
Affairs also ensures that they will be present and will make concrete
contributions to deal with the global pandemic and to help the community in
accordance with the duties and functions of the Ministry of Social Affairs
which is coordinated by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling
COVID-19.
