JAKARTA (7 May 2021) - The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini visited the Ramadan Bazaar Booth "Shopping Together with the Minister of Social Affairs" which was held at the Office of the Ministry of Social RI, Jalan Salemba Raya No. 28, Central Jakarta.

 

A total of 18 participants who participate in MoSA Ramadan Bazaar consisted of 13 participants from the Social Rehabilitation Center, 2 participants from the Beneficiary of the Entrepreneurship Program (Prokus) of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, 1 participant from Kumala Foundation, 1 participant from Perum Bulog and 1 participant from PT. Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia.

 

The Ministry of Social Affairs' Ramadan Bazaar provides necessities, prayer equipment, contemporary veil, Eid cakes, various snacks, Indonesian food, ornamental plants, and accessories. Most of these products are the work of the beneficiaries.

 

Within 2 days from 6 - 7 May 2021, the sales turnover at this Ramadan Bazaar reached Rp. 238.6 million.

 

Social Minister Risma appreciated the work of the beneficiaries. "Every work of the beneficiary has a story, tell the process, this is part of the success story," said Social Minister Risma.

 

Social Minister Risma visited the splash batik craft booth from “Kartini” Temanggung Center. On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs Risma also made splash batik designs directly.

 

Social Minister Risma believes that one-day social rehabilitation centers will be able to produce successful people with a strong commitment. "One day all of you here will talk at the international level about this success," she said.

 

On this occasion the Ministry of Social Affairs invited a total of 288 beneficiaries from Social Welfare Institutions that are Ministry of Social Affairs partners. The worksheets were Swara Peduli, LKS Balarenik and LKS Bhakti Nurul Iman on the first day of Ramadan Bazaar (6/5) and the second day (7/5), namely LKS Kumala, LKS Erbe and LKS Sekar.

 

To continue implementing health protocols, each LKS is given an attendance schedule. Each LKS is given 2 hours to exchange shopping vouchers and take turns with other LKS.

 

They were given vouchers in exchange for basic food items worth Rp. 160 thousand, beef worth Rp. 85 thousand (1 kg) and cash worth Rp. 200 thousand.

One of the beneficiaries of LKS Swara Peduli, Syariah, expressed his joy. "Thank you for being invited by the Minister of Social Affairs, I can get basic food and meat to prepare for Eid, hopefully, the Ministry of Social Affairs will progress," he said.

This activity was also enlivened by a special performance from the Disnet Band Disability Center "Tan Miyat" in Bekasi. This Ramadan Bazaar will last until May 7, 2021 and of course, has implemented Covid-19 prevention health protocols, starting from wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance.

On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also gave awards to centers that met certain criteria. The best stand category was won by "Kartini" Temanggung Center, the best New Product Development in the form of Ecoprint products was won by Budhi Dharma Center, the best eco-green product in the form of hydroponic vegetables was won by Pangudi Luhur Bekasi Center and the best packaging went to Phala Martha Sukabumi Center.

In addition, there is also, the best food category in the form of gluten-free cookies won by Melati Jakarta Center, the best home industry in the form of batik sandals is won by Kahuripan Sukabumi Center and the best handicraft in the form of ciwitan batik is won by Ciungwanara Bogor Center.

Social Minister Risma directed all Centers to start changing their work patterns. "Let's change the pattern, not just displaying photos and reports, but how can we raise the extraordinary success stories of the beneficiaries. The process to be seen," she concluded.
