Ministry of Social Affairs Presents to Fulfill the Civil Rights of Persons with Mental Disabilities
PATI
(6 May 2021) -
The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia through the Margo
Laras Pati Center collaborates with the Pati Regency Population and Civil
Registration Service (Dukcapil) in the context of recording population data for
11 family-based Beneficiaries of the target of Social Rehabilitation Assistance
services program (ATENSI) from Margo
Laras.
Considering the
conditions of the beneficiaries, the recording was carried out using the ball
pick-up method, where Dukcapil officers accompanied by Social Workers from Margo
Laras along with local village officials visited the beneficiary's house one by
one to record population data (E-KTP).
The officers visited the
houses of 9 beneficiaries in Tanjunganom village, Gabus village, Plumbungan
village, and Koripandriyo village, Gabus district. While 2 (two) Beneficiaries
were recorded at the Gabus District office.
The head of Margo Laras,
Jiwaningsih said that this activity was a form of ATENSI service in the form of
accessibility support in obtaining civil rights for citizens, given that mental
disabilities have the same rights as other Indonesian citizens for the civil
right to be registered as citizens and have a registration number of population
(NIK).
"By having an E-KTP,
Persons with Mental Disabilities will be recorded in the Integrated Social
Welfare Data (DTKS), so that they will get the opportunity to obtain facilities
and various assistance from the state intended for them," said
Jiwaningsih.
One of the beneficiary
families, Mohadi from Gabus Village, expressed his gratitude for the direct
service from the Center in the form of E-KTP recording.
The Village Secretary of
Plumbungan, Nugroho welcomed this activity, because so far he found it
difficult to bring persons with mental disorders to follow the E-KTP recording.
This effort from Margo Laras is very helpful in fulfilling the civil rights of
its citizens.
