MoSA Distributes Aid for Banggai Residents, Deputy Regents and Members of Commission VIII DPR RI Give Appreciation
LUWUK (July 20, 2022) - MoSA through Nipotowe Center Palu distributed
ATENSI program at the recess session of Commission VIII DPR RI members in
Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi.
The road trip took approximately 13 hours due to
heavy rain conditions along the way and several roads that were landslide due
to rain, as well as waiting for road cleaning activities by heavy equipment so
it took about 17 hours. Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds also knocked
down trees that blocked the access road to the location.
Arriving in Luwuk, the earthquake shook Gorontalo
and was felt as far as Luwuk. Nipotowe team quickly evacuated to a safe
location. The people also rushed to the field. Fortunately, the earthquake did
not cause any physical damage, but many people panicked.
On Monday (18/7), the Team conducted further coordination
with local governments. One of the obstacles is the location of the recess
event because the meeting halls that are commonly used such as the Regional
Government Graba are fully booked, and the hall of the health office is used
for other activities. Several other locations have been used to prepare for the MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran) event. Finally, the Team got
a place in the hall building of Banggai Regency Tourism Office. This is a
milestone in the introduction of the Tourism Office with the hope that in the
future there will be a partnership program to empower the Beneficiaries.
Nursyamsu, Head of Nipotowe Palu Center
expressed his gratitude to Banggai Regency Tourism Office for allowing the use
of the Center and providing support in this Recess activity.
This recess activity was held at Banggai Regency
Tourism Office Hall. Furqanuddin as the Deputy Regent of Banggai and Suprapto
as the Chairman of the DPRD (Regional House of Representatives) Banggai Regency
were also present at the activity. Furqanuddin said that the Regent of Banggai
was grateful for the attention given to the community in Banggai Regency.
"On behalf of the Regent who was unable to
attend today, I would like to thank MoSA and Mr. Matindas who have cared for
our citizens in need," said Furqanuddin in his speech.
