Banten (July 31st, 2024) – Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) through Directorate of Social Rehabilitation together with social institutions and volunteers in Serang held a dissemination and advocacy event about parenting patterns for beneficiaries of Fatherless, Motherless, and Orphans (YAPI).

The event was held to give a guide and support to the family and caregivers in carrying out their daily roles.

The event was held in Derlatifah Educational Foundation Building in Pasuluhan Urban Village, Serang City. The event was attended by 40 participants, including caregivers, beneficiaries’ families, representatives of social institutions, and volunteers.

The Secretary of Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation Salahuddin Yahya emphasized in his speech the importance of the role in society in ensuring YAPI received proper and quality care. "Through this dissemination and advocacy, it is hoped that caregivers and families can understand the significance of their role in shaping the character and future of these children."

Furthermore, Salahuddin also stated that fatherless, and motherless orphans should receive their rights. "Please submit requests for those who have not yet received assistance," he emphasized.

In addition, a discussion and Q&A session was held to provide participants with the opportunity to consult about parenting patterns and how to obtain YAPI assistance.

With this dissemination and advocacy, it was hoped that the community would become more aware of their role's importance in supporting orphaned children's growth and development. Ministry of Social Affairs was committed to continuously providing support and assistance to beneficiaries so that children could achieve a better future.
