MoSA Increases the Living Standards of PPKS Prospective Residents of Rusunawa

JAKARTA (June 19, 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs is following up on the results of the assessment carried out by Mulya Jaya Center Team on June 18, 2022, for several residents who live on the Ciliwung river bank, Menteng District.

The results of the assessment that have been carried out have recorded 14 Family Cards (KK) and 9 KK who are willing to directly inspect the Rusunawa (low-cost flat building) owned by MoSA at RPTC Bambu Apus because the others are sick and scavenging.

Head of Mulya Jaya Center, Adrianus Alla conveyed that the purpose of Rusunawa building was to show directly to the poor/vulnerable groups who have been living under bridges/banks of rivers/railways of trains/carts related to the conditions and facilities owned by Rusunawa RPTC Bambu Apus.

"After seeing firsthand the poor/vulnerable groups want to move to the RPTC Bambu Apus flats so that they can prosper socially and no longer live under bridges/banks of rivers/behind railway tracks and can improve their standard of living", hoped Adrianus Alla.

Lita Mardiati (28), one of the PPKS prospective residents of Rusunawa who is willing to visit the Rusunawa at RPTC Bambu Apus, currently lives in a rented house under the Jalan Matraman Salemba bridge with her three children and in-laws with a rental fee of IDR 2 million/year, she works as a scavenger who earns income only IDR 30,000 - IDR 50,000/day.

After reviewing Rusunawa, Lita was happy to see that the flats were in good condition because the facilities were comfortable, and the security was also guaranteed so she was sure to stay in Rusunawa. Hopefully, they will be able to occupy Rusunawa as soon as possible, maybe if there is a miracle tomorrow they can be occupied immediately," she said.

For information, Rusunawa RPTC Bambu Apus with a rental fee of IDR 10,000/month consists of 84 residential units spread over 5 floors with a room area of ​​36M² per unit and is equipped with facilities and infrastructure, namely parking lots, clean water networks, electricity, public toilets, public kitchen, and multifunction room.
