JAKARTA
(December 1, 2021) - To welcome the commemoration of the
International Day of Persons with Disabilities in 2021, Social Rehabilitation
Center “Mulya Jaya” in Jakarta participated in activities held at the Aneka
Bhakti Building, Ministry of Social Affairs.
In this
activity, Mulya Jaya Center provided ATENSI service which consisted of ATENSI support
for Orphans/Fatherless/Motherless, Basic Needs Assistance, Entrepreneurship
Assistance, Accessibility Assistance, and Nutrition Assistance totaling Rp.
439,987,000. The assistance was given to 171 Persons with Disabilities spread
across South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Sijunjung Regency, and Tanah Datar Regency.
This
assistance was also symbolically handed over by the Minister of Social Affairs,
Tri Rismaharini to an orphan who is also a person with a disability, Mohammad
Islamy Rafael.
Rafael's
biological mother, Army, feels very grateful and happy because he has received
extraordinary attention from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"I am
very grateful, ma'am, I am very happy, thank God. All three of my children have
received assistance for orphans because their father died from Covid-19. My
third child is 9 years old and has Down syndrome," explained Army.
In addition
to providing ATENSI support, Mulya Jaya Center also enlivened the series of
events to commemorate International Disability Day 2021 by opening an
exhibition stand in the form of a variety of culinary delights and handicrafts
made by the Beneficiaries. The food sold includes pickled fruit, meatballs,
dumplings, cakes, and others.
