National Children's Day (HAN), BBPPKS Yogyakarta Conducts Mobile Social Counseling in Lombok Timur

LOMBOK TIMUR (July 30, 2022) - In commemoration of the 2022 National Children's Day (HAN) centered in Selong, East Lombok Regency, BBPPKS Yogyakarta carried out Mobile Social Counseling activities in four areas in East Lombok Regency on Saturday, (30/07/22 ) ).

Mobile Social Counseling with the theme "Parenting Good Children, Stopping Violence Against Children, Awareness of Early Marriage and Preventing Stunting" was held in Wanasaba District, Labuhan Haji District, Sukamulya District, and Suralaga District. The counseling targets are parents and guardians of students, Family Hope Program (PKH) beneficiaries, Posyandu Cadres, PKK Cadres, Village Development Cadres, PLKB, District Health Workers, and PKH Companions.

Previously, on Friday (29/07/2022) the BBPPKS Yogyakarta team consisting of three personnel namely RM Agung Hardiyanto (Intermediate Social Counselor), Pantyo Nugroho Probokusumo (Middle Social Counselor), and Sri Sugiyarti (Intermediate Social Worker) coordinated with the Social Service of Lombok Timur Regency.

In this outreach activity, the BBPPKS Yogyakarta Team conveyed the socialization of correct parenting patterns; The role of the family in the early formation of children's behavior; the Impact of early marriage; and Six Steps to prevent stunting in children (regular pregnancy check-ups, fulfillment of nutritional intake, adequate consumption of iron, self-regulation for a clean and healthy lifestyle, dangers of cigarette smoke, regular exercise). The counseling ends with dialogue and discussion between the presenters and participants.

In addition to carrying out Social Counseling, the BBPPKS Yogyakarta team also held various competitions for KPM PKH children in the coastal fishing village of Labuhan Haji District. Multiple kinds of competitions such as sack races, cracker eating competitions, traditional games, and children's ball games were held to share happiness. It is hoped that the KPM PKH children will also be able to enjoy the festivities of Children's Day in 2022.

At the peak of the National Children's Day 2022 event, Monday (01/08/22), it is planned to carry out an examination and installation of Hearing Aids (ABD) for 56 children at R Soedjono Hospital, Selong, Lombok Timur Regency. Furthermore, there will also be a mass circumcision for 50 children and various traditional games will also be held at the Pendopo, Lombok Timur Regency.
