President Jokowi Hands Over ATENSI Program to People with Disabilities

DENPASAR (May 25, 2022) – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo on a working visit to Bali Province to distribute the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program from the Ministry of Social Affairs to several persons with disabilities in Denpasar City which was held at Kereneng Market in Denpasar, Bali.

 

On this occasion, MoSA through the “Mahatmiya” Bali Center distributed assistance for 5 people with disabilities with total assistance of IDR 31,400,000,- with details in the form of adaptive wheelchairs, adaptive canes, family support assistance in the form of salon entrepreneurship, massage, selling drinks, and grocery stores.

 

President Joko Widodo advised the beneficiaries “Please use this aid for the necessary needs. Don't do unnecessary things, if you receive money, please buy oil."

 

The aid was symbolically handed over by President Joko Widodo and continued directly to the beneficiaries by the Head of the "Mahatmiya Center" Bali, Sri Wibowo.

 

I Made Suardana (59 years old), a person with a hearing sensory disability who is one of the beneficiaries of entrepreneurship selling beverages, expressed his gratitude to MoSA.

 

"Thank you for the assistance from MoSA who has helped and provided me with entrepreneurial capital for selling drinks," said Suardana using sign language.

 

On the same occasion, Presidential Assistance was also distributed in the form of cash IDR 1,200,000, and necessities as well as PKH social assistance to 95 Beneficiary Families.

 

Also accompanying the President and Mrs. Iriana on a working visit at Kreneng Market, Denpasar City, were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Military Secretary to the President of the Marsda TNI M Tonny Harjono, Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo and Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster.

 

After the delivery of social assistance is over, the President will go directly to the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Badung Regency, to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) 2022.
