MASAMBA (August 4, 2020) - In a series of celebrations for National Children's Day BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar provides Psychosocial Support Services for children affected by flash floods in Masamba, North Luwu Regency.
As a result of the flash floods that occurred in North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province, some of the people of North Luwu fled and lived in evacuee tents that had been prepared by the local government. Some of the victims of this flash flood are children, they along with their parents and other families live in evacuee camps.
The Ministry of Social Affairs Republic of Indonesia was present together with the BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar to coordinate with the local government through the Regent of North Luwu Indah Putri Indriani to make a cheerful hut for the children affected by the flash flood in an integrated evacuee camp.
Head of BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar Christiana Junus explained that this activity is a series of national children's day celebrations held by BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar. Namely, providing psychosocial support services to children affected by the flash flood in integrated evacuee camps while at the same time providing assistance in fulfilling children's nutrition supported by partners as a form of cooperate social responsibility and handed over symbolically in the North Luwu Regent's office by the Head of BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar.
Christiana Junus together with Indah Putri Indriani visited the evacuee camps in Kappunang Village, Raffa Village and Meli Village while conducting Psychosocial Support services for flood victims. Christiana and Indah invited the children to play, study and sing together to entertain for a moment those who live in evacuee camps. The children were so enthusiastic and happy to remember the activity. At the end of the activity they were given a gift.
