CIANJUR (June 4, 2020) - Right now WHO has not revoked the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world, while in Indonesia, new cases are still fluctuating every day and have not shown a significant decrease in the case curve. A lot of people are affected by the pandemic, especially the elderly who are the most vulnerable group in facing this pandemic.
The "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center Bekasi of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, which is also actively participating in minimizing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, has refocused its budget and reallocated its budget for additional social assistance in the form of basic food in 3 provinces, namely West Java, Banten and Lampung with a total amount of 3.038 food packages. This social assistance is distributed to the elderly who are assisted by Social Welfare Institute (LKS) in collaboration with "Budhi Dharma" BRSLU in Bekasi
Still in the series of distribution of social assistance, Cianjur Regency, Sukabumi Regency and Sukabumi City are included in several regencies and cities that are targets for the distribution of social assistance. Head of the Cianjur Social Office Amad Mutawali, who received the distribution of assistance directly in his testimony, expressed his gratitude to the "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center Bekasi and hopes that in the future there will be more social assistance, especially for the elderly in Cianjur Regency, there are still many people who deserve assistance.
This distribution activity was carried out at the Cianjur District Social Service office and in six LKS targeted for distribution including LKS-LU Anugerah Jaya, Al-Madinah, Insan Karya Bakti, IDIN, Rukun Ibu and Wisma Asisi on June 2-3, 2020.
