BATURRADEN (August 13, 2020) - Social rehabilitation services for Beneficiaries (PM) during the COVID-19 pandemic encourage the Ministry of Social Affairs to be more innovative in providing services. Through the Social Rehabilitation Center for Drug Abuse Victims (BRSKP) "Satria" Baturraden, the Ministry of Social Affairs intervened virtually to PM.
This activity is part of family-based social rehabilitation assistance in the form of a family dialogue with the PM's family from Pontianak, West Kalimantan.
In-network (online) services are followed by accompanying social workers, social worker supervisors, PM families, and psychologists. The agenda for this activity is a report on the development of PM both in terms of social and psychological as well as family plans after PM has finished undergoing the program.
Section Head of Social Rehabilitation Services, Hendra Permana said that family support plays an important role in maintaining post-rehabilitation recovery. "The toughest challenge will be faced when your sons and daughters complete the program. We need positive and strong support from the family. Social workers help to bridge the preparation of future plans, including relapse prevention," said Hendra.
The family expressed their willingness to support the PM recovery process and were grateful for the assistance provided by BRSKP Napza "Satria" Baturraden. "Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for the changes that have occurred to our child. In the future we will try to follow the advice of the officers so that our child will no longer abuse drugs. There are plans to continue education after completion of rehab," said the PM's father.
Family-based social assistance services are carried out regularly, either directly through activities home visit by observing the COVID-19 health protocol or virtually. Family acceptance and support are important factors to build mutual trust between the PM and his family. So that it can reduce the risk of lapse and relapse and can continue life plans that were delayed due to drug abuse.
