JAKARTA (August 13, 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center "Pangudi Luhur" Bekasi is following up on public complaints through the complaint portal on the website about displaced residents by deploying officers to hold outreach.

Based on the results of the assessment in the field, the neglected resident is named Latip and is included in the elderly category (80 years). Latip's grandfather was neglected due to family problems. He still has a family, namely children who live not far around the market where he currently lives. Grandpa Latip's relationship with his children was not good, so his children did not want to take care of him and neglected him. This has happened since Grandpa Latip's wife died.

Grandpa Latip has lived for 5 (five) months in the overhang of the Sulton market store in East Cakung, East Jakarta. When found, Grandpa Latip's condition was unwell, and had complained of pain in the stomach area. Currently, Grandpa Latip has received treatment at the nearest health center with a diagnosis of ulcer.

Currently, Grandpa Latip has been taken to "Pangudi Luhur" Center Bekasi to get protection facilities in the form of shelter, fulfillment of basic needs, and health checks.
